Exeter, United Kingdom — 12 April 2011 — HumanConcepts, the leading provider of workforce decision support solutions, has deployed OrgPlus Enterprise in Bradford College, the fourth largest college in the country and the leading provider of higher education outside of the university sector. The college uses OrgPlus Enterprise to provide immediate graphical org charts of the organisation for all 1750 employees to access via its secure intranet and to provide a workforce analytics and modelling capability for the managers.
The HR team cites many benefits since using OrgPlus Enterprise, including more accurate data, making HR details easily available to college managers and improved data validation through employee feedback. OrgPlus Enterprise is much quicker and easier than the previous manual process, saving considerable time in the production of charts. Previously it took most of a day to produce a chart each time an u remote control helicopter pdate was requested.
"We have had a lot of positive feedback from senior managers and our executives who now have key HR data at their fingertips. It has added great value to our HR system, complementing the suite of reports available and enabling our staff and managers to make better use of the wide range of HR data," said Liz Milne, HR Services Manager. OrgPlus Enterprise draws data (refreshed daily) from the College's Select HR Management System and produces organisation charts. Employees are able to quickly identify any errors in the personal data displayed and notify the HR team of any changes required, ensuring that the personnel data is validated.
The system has been implemented with varying security levels of access, providing set views to different categories of staff. All employees have a basic view, with position, name and title, and contact details. Departmental Managers are able to view HR details on their own team staff, while Executives have a top level view.
A wide range of HR metrics used for budget and workforce management is available to the HR team and managers. The metrics include absence records, probationary reviews and KPIs including equality, salary statistics, headcounts and absence triggers.
